Cougars Win in Overtime

The Genesee Community College men's basketball just keeps finding ways to win. This time the team overcame a 10-point deficit with Kevin Josey nailing two free throws with 3.5 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. With the victory the Cougars solidified their lead for the #2 seed in the regional tournament. Don Juan Tyson led GCC with 22 points.

The Cougars lost their rematch with Monroe Community College, but it was a much more hotly contested game then the first time. Monroe prevailed 73-59 by connecting on six of its three point attempts while Genesee only managed to convert on one attempt. Tyson led GCC with 25 points (10-10 FT's). Gari Fields added eight points and 12 rebounds. The team is now 15-6 overall.
