The Genesee Community College Swimming and Diving teams competed at the Delhi Invitational on Saturday. The women's team finished third and the men's teams placed fourth. Jamestown CC was the winner on the women's side and Alfred State took home the men's title. Ellie Zaepfel won the 50 Freestyle, took second in the 200 Breaststroke, and was a part of the 400 Medley and 800 Freestyle Relay teams that finished third.
On Wednesday, GCC hosted its final home dual meet against Alfred State. The women won 54-44 and the men lost 37-63. Eric Wixon was a triple winner for the men, bringing home first place in the 200 Individual Medley, the 100 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle. On the women's side, Zaepfel won the 50 Freestyle and Margo Thomas won the 100 Freestyle. Zaepfel also combined with Shannon McFarlance, Adrienne Stamp and Maranda Koopman to win the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relays.
