Stamp Leads Lady Cougars to Second Place Finish

Adrienne Stamp, a sophomore from Corfu, took home first place in three events and placed second in two others to lead the GCC Women's Swimming and Diving team to a second place finish behind Jamestown Community College at the Cobleskill Invitational. Genesee scored 210 points to Jamestown's 248. Stamp combined with Eleanor Zaepfel, Shannon McFarlane and Maranda Koopman to win the 400 Medley and the 400 Freestyle Relays. Stamp won the 100 Backstroke and took second in both the 200 Backstroke and the 200 Individual Medley. Zaepfel placed second in the 100 and 500 Freestyle events.

The men finished fourth among the seven teams competing at the meet with the host school, Cobleskill, claiming the crown. GCC was led by Eric Wixon took third in the 100, 200, and 500 Freestyle races. The Cougars swim next at the Erie Community College Invitational on Saturday, January 21st.
