Men's Soccer Team Splits Two Regional Games

The Genesee Community College men's soccer team split its two regional matches this week. On Tuesday, the Cougars easily defeated Jamestown-Olean, 6-2. On Saturday, GCC suffered another one goal setback, this time to Fulton-Montgomery, by a score of 3-2. It was the third straight loss for the Cougars by one goal. In fact, the four losses by GCC have been by a total of five goals. Katsuyaki Koyano had three goals andLeland Reynolds added two goals. Also scoring goals for the week were Mike Mertz, Jeremy Conte, and Yusuke Maeda.

Genesee is now 7-4 overall and 7-3 against Region III, Divison III opponents. The team is also 3-1 in WNYAC play.
