Cougars Salvage Split With Canadian Teams

The Genesee Community College Men's Basketball managed a split this week in two contests with teams from Canada. On Tuesday, the Cougars were victims of hot and cold three-point shooting against Niagara College. The Cougars lost 89-86 as they could only hit 6 of 22 shots from behind the arc while the Knights connected on 13 out of 23 attempts. Reggie Holmes led Genesee with 28 points and seven rebounds. Don Juan Tyson scored 27 points and dished out seven assists.

The Cougars rebounded to defeat Mohawk College 83-59. Holmes had 20 points and nine boards. Phil Santiago added 14 points, four assists, and four steals. Bart Tooms pulled down 12 caroms to go along with his eight points.
