Genesee Community College Recognizes Employee of the Month

The Office of the President of Genesee Community College recently recognized the September employee of significance. Judy A. Passamonte, a dedicated member of the Warsaw Campus Center was named Employee of the Month for September 2005.

Judy will be celebrating her six year anniversary at the Warsaw Campus Center in January 2006. Throughout her tenure as a medical secretary, she has maintained a positive attitude when working with students, staff, and faculty, as well as a warm smile to greet incoming visitors. She was instrumental in helping to create a smooth transition from the old campus center facility in Warsaw to new location within the YMCA on Linwood Avenue.

Judy was raised in the neighboring town of Perry, and enrolled in SUNY at Geneseo until she married her husband, Joseph Passamonte. She worked at the Champion factory in Perry until it closed. Upon closing, she went to Genesee Community College to earn a degree and become a medical secretary. After applying her new skills at a doctor's office for a time, Judy enjoys serving on numerous college committees and often motivates others to go the "extra mile" in their own work. Judy is a valuable asset to the college community and to the campus center in Warsaw.

Outside work related responsibilities, she enjoys gardening, going to movies, doing crafts, and walking. Besides her husband, Judy's other family members includes her son Joe and her grandson, Brevan.
