Livingston Division of Genesee Community College's Scholarship Campaign Begins, Led by Toni Ann Moore

Toni Ann Moore of Leicester, NY, Chief Clerk of Livingston County Surrogate's Court is serving as chair of the Livingston Division of the Genesee Community College Foundation's annual campaign. Ms. Moore, an active member of the Genesee Community College Foundation Board, said that she has viewed first-hand the benefit of scholarships for worthy and deserving students.

"The campaign theme, Our Best Investment, illustrates the importance of encouraging the men and women in our community to seek higher education and to be trained in crucial fields such as technology, criminal justice and health care that are needed in the workforce right here in Livingston County," Ms. Moore said. "The presence of two campus centers within our borders, one in Dansville and one in Lakeville, eases access and admission to the College." She added that by working together through Genesee's scholarship program, we support our own students and our community.

Scholarships attract students with high academic potential to the classrooms; help retain students who otherwise may be at risk of dropping out due to financial concerns, and, again, supports our local economy by training our work force in needed skills.
