BATAVIA, New York - The latest art exhibit in the Lobby Gallery at Genesee Community College features the work of Genesee's adjunct art instructors. Approximately 17 works are on display and include watercolor, photography, ceramics, and glass. The exhibit is on display from October 27th through December 21st. A reception will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the Lobby Gallery on Thursday, November 11, which will be free and open to the public.

Alan Gordon, Professor of Fine Arts at Genesee, chose to highlight adjunct works because "at times, adjunct instructors are overshadowed by full-time faculty. I proposed this show to focus on the variety of faculty approaches to fine art."

Additional exhibits are being planned for the spring 2005 semester. They will include a juried fine art and digital art student show, as well as a regional women's invitational exhibition. The Lobby Gallery is located in the Stuart Steiner Theatre on the Batavia Campus of Genesee Community College, One College Road. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays and during college vacations. For more information, call the Arts Center office at 345-6802.
