An evening of great metal music, dancing, and door prizes awaits young audiences interested in Rock Fest 2004. The rock and roll event happens Friday, November 12, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at Genesee Community College in the William W. Stuart Forum at Genesee Community College's Batavia Campus. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m.
Featured bands and special guests include National Recording and Warped Tour Artists "Haste the Day," and also Batavia's own "Down to Earth Approach," who just signed a contract with Vagrant Records. Featured guests for Rock Fest 2004 also include "Adeline's Hero," "Seric," "A Day Without Rain," and "New Skin."
"This line up of bands and musicians offers a variety of heavy metal and punk for an exhilarating night," said Melody Nardone, General Manager of WGCC, Genesee Community College's FM station located at 90.7 on the FM dial. "We are certain that this show will sell out and top everyone's expectations, and more!"
The first 100 people through the door will receive a prize package, and other gifts and fun contests will be going on all night long. The evening event is presented by WGCC-FM and sponsored by the Genesee Community College's Student Activities program. Tickets are $2.00 for GCC Students and $5.00 for the general public. Proceeds will benefit Hospice Homecare of Batavia.
