Three Women Elected As Board of Trustee Officers at Genesee Community College

For the first time in Genesee Community College's history, the Board of Trustees has elected an all-woman slate of officers.

•Anne M. Garlock was elected Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the 2004-2005 year. Mrs. Garlock, of Batavia, was the founder and owner of Anne Garlock Office Supplies in Geneseo as well as a former owner of Garlock Office Centre in Batavia.•Marcia H. Noonan was elected Vice-Chairperson of the Board. Mrs. Noonan, also of Batavia, serves as Executive Director of Victorian Manor, a residence for senior adults in Batavia.•Laurie J. Miller was elected Secretary. Mrs. Miller, of Alexander, is one of the owners and operators of Willow Ridge Farm in Alexander.The three officers were elected at the Board of Trustees' annual meeting, held at the Batavia Campus on Monday, July 12, 2004. Officers will serve until the July 2005 annual meeting.The new officers succeed Glenn R. Morton, Chair, during the 2003-2004 year; Melvin J. Wentland, Vice Chair; and Mrs. Garlock, Secretary during 2003-2004.The ten-member Board of Trustees is the governing body of Genesee Community College.
