The BEST Center is offering two FREE seminars to help Genesee County companies explore E-business as a means of achieving greater efficiency and enlarging their market shares. From website potential to developing email newsletters, local firms will not only learn the potential of the World Wide Web and E-business as a new marketing tool, but also evaluate their own "E-readiness." To accommodate busy schedules, the E-Business seminars are being offered on two different days, Thursday, January 29th, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 31st, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. in Room T102 of the Conable Technology Center at Genesee Community College, One College Road, Batavia, NY.
The seminars are being presented collaboratively with ENTRE Computer Services of Rochester, and are funded, in part, by a grant from the Empire State Development Corporation. The "Rath Grant," as it is commonly known because of the support received by New York State Senator Mary Lou Rath, is an E-Business initiative designed to help Genesee County firms enhance or develop their websites. As an "E-Business Incubator program," the Genesee County initiative may become a model for other counties.
"The World Wide Web has become a critical tool for advertising and marketing for businesses of all types and sizes, yet many local businesses are just too busy to dedicate the time and resources to explore the medium and apply its potential to their company," Jerry Kozlowski, Dean of The BEST Center said. "This seminar will take the mystery out of the web and guide local business representatives through the process of creating websites and e-newsletters that can enhance their company's profitability."
The BEST Center, which stands for Business and Employee Skills Training is headquartered at Genesee Community College in the new Conable Technology Center. The organization provides a wide array of cost effective employee training programs to businesses in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming Counties with the ultimate goal of improving employee and business performance. ENTRE Computer services, Inc. provides businesses with a full range of technology services, including IT managed services, web development, content management, application development and computer products.
The seminars are free and open to the representatives of businesses located in Genesee County. Interested participants should reserve their seat no later than Thursday, January 22 by calling 585-345-6868, or emailing: email@example.com.
