Genesee Foundation Leadership Division Bolsters 2003-2004 Annual Campaign

Genesee Community College Foundation is pleased to announce the continued progress of its multifaceted annual fundraising campaign, which contributes significantly to student scholarships and College enrichment. The nine divisions of the campaign are working concurrently to raise dollars for the College and its students, and also raise awareness of the College's important mission.

William Fritts, a partner at Lawley, Genesee Insurance Agency and an active member of Genesee Community College Foundation Board, is chairing the Leadership Division of the campaign and invigorating the effort with full strides toward the overall campaign goal of $252,000. The Foundation Board also established the priority to make higher education available to all qualified, area residents regardless of their financial status. In addition to our general scholarship fund, our endowment challenge program enters the fifth year of a five-year challenge to build an endowment of more than $525,000 over the five-year period. In this program the U. S. Department of Education provides an annual contribution of $2 for every $1 raised up to $35,000. The income from the endowment is dedicated to students in need.
