Genesee Community College Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, Jerry Kozlowski, is offering a change management workshop for area business owners and managers on Wednesday, April 30, at Genesee's Arcade Campus Center, 25 Edward Street, Arcade, NY. The workshop, titled "Change Management - Who Moved My Cheese?" is based in large part upon Spencer Johnson's current best-selling business book and video by the same name. This workshop is aimed at business owners and managers who need to better understand the process of change and its impact upon the people they lead. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; the doors will open for sign-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. There is a fee of $40 per person; Wyoming County Chamber Members and their employees are eligible for a $10 discount. Seating is limited; pre-registration is recommended.
"Understanding your employees' natural resistance to change, and engaging them as enthusiastic partners in the process, is an essential management skill in today's difficult and fast-changing business environment," said Mr. Kozlowski. "This workshop will show business owners and managers how to get the support they need for successful change management initiatives in the workplace."
"Change Management - Who Moved My Cheese?" is a repeat presentation of a seminar held by Mr. Kozlowski last October. It is the second of a three part Leadership and Management Seminar Series this spring, produced by the Genesee Community College Office of Workforce Development in partnership with the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce. The next workshop in this series will be "The FISH! Philosophy and Business Impact" at the Byrncliff Resort and Conference Center on May 21.
