Genesee Community College is excited to announce that prospective students and families will have not one, but two chances to come and see exactly what GCC can do for them this year! On Friday, November 10, 2017 and again on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 9:00am to 12 noon, Genesee Community College will open all of its doors at Main Campus at One College Road in Batavia!
For the first time, as part of the Open House tours, attendees will get to see inside the brand new Student Success Center and Richard C. Call Arena. Campus tours, which will start in the main building, will also include academic classrooms, the popular Wolcott J. Humphrey III Student Union and campus housing at College Village. Prefer to find your own way around? Our new self-guided tour will be available!
Which Open House session is right for you or your family?
If you want to learn more about the 70+ academic programs available at GCC, then the Academic Open House on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 9:00am to 12 noon will answer all of your questions. From 9:00am – 10:00am, the academic fair will be set up in the centrally located William W. Stuart Forum and features the many academic programs available at GCC. Newer programs include: Nanotechnology, Marketing & Social Media Concentrations, Food Processing Technology, and Sleep Technology! Take advantage of this opportunity to talk directly with faculty members and explore the degree and certificate programs GCC offers. Representatives from several four-year colleges will also be on campus to discuss transfer opportunities as well!
Focused on the Financial Aid? Then join us on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 9:00am to 12 noon when representatives from the Student Success Center, Financial Aid, the Career Center and Transfer Services, and many more, will be available to answer questions. During this Open House, representatives from Financial Aid will also be on site to help with FAFSA Applications. More than 86% of GCC’s full-time students receive financial aid. Take advantage of the expertise, for FREE! To sign up for a session with a dedicated Financial Aid representative, you must register in advance by visiting https://www.suny.edu/attend/events/index.cfm.
During both Open House sessions, prospective students and their families can ask questions about financial aid, learn about student services, and get a real taste for campus life at Genesee Community College!
