Roz Steiner Art Gallery at Genesee Community College Announces Call for Artwork from GCC Alumni

In conjunction with Genesee Community College’s 50th Anniversary, the Rosalie “Roz” Steiner Art Gallery will be hosting an exhibition featuring artwork of GCC alumni.

Batavia, New York—In conjunction with Genesee Community College’s 50th Anniversary, the Rosalie “Roz” Steiner Art Gallery will be hosting an exhibition featuring artwork of GCC alumni. The exhibition will be on display August/September 2017, with receptions planned for homecoming weekend.

 

The Art Gallery Selection Committee will review submitted proposals and select artists to participate in the exhibition. Guidelines for submissions are as follows:

 

  • Artist is an alumni of Genesee Community College, having graduated prior to 2015
  • All artwork submitted is to have been completed beyond graduation
  • Artwork should aesthetically show professional quality skills and techniques
  • Artwork should conceptually show originality and creativity

 

The Roz Steiner Gallery opened in Spring 2011 and offers 1,700 square feet of outstanding exhibit space featuring 25-foot walls, moveable island walls, bamboo flooring and multimedia capabilities.  See more at the Gallery’s Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/gccgallery.

 

Alumni interested in being considered for the exhibition can submit proposals through the gallery’s website at http://www.genesee.edu/campuslife/arts/gallery/submissions.cfm. The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2017.
