“For Stafford Country Club to welcome the College for this event, it’s pretty special,” Drew Crofts, GCC sports information coordinator and tournament committee member said. “It’s a rare opportunity to play at one of the top courses in the area, contribute to a great cause –all while having a great time!”
Up to 36 foursomes will take part in the 18-hole event, which tees off in “shotgun” style at 12:30 p.m.

With GCC’s 50th anniversary underway, lots of possibilities for themed teams exist.
“Are there any GCC retirees out there who want to play, while seeing old friends and colleagues? How about an old versus new WGCC announcers?” Crofts suggested. “Maybe some student athletes from way back would like to share a laugh or two with Coach Spiotta. Or how about ‘SOMF’ players from the earliest years? This is going to be an incredibly fun golf outing.”
The cost per foursome is $600, or $150 per individual golfer. If you are interested in attending the event and supporting local students but can’t make the golf tournament, the dinner-only option is only $20 per person. The registration deadline is June 16, 2016, so don’t wait until the last minute! Celebrate GCC’s 50th Anniversary and help support GCC student scholarships."
