Dansville, NY- If you want to apply for college financial aid, but don’t know where to begin, come to Genesee Community College’s Dansville Campus Center on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 4 - 8 p.m. You’ll receive free expert help filling out the online FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) forms. In addition, five participants will receive a $500 college scholarship. The College Goal NY event is being organized by Genesee Community College at the Dansville Campus Center.
In order to receive all of the federal aid to which a student is entitled, the student must complete the FAFSA form. Financial aid counselors from GCC will be on hand to help high school seniors and adults complete the forms online. Participants are asked to bring essential information, including social security numbers, birth dates, driver’s licenses and most recent income tax returns. Interested participants can stop in Room 213 at GCC Dansville any time on March 29th from 4 – 8 p.m. “This will be our third time hosting the event,” Amy Churchfield, associate dean of the Dansville Campus Center said. “We’ve enjoyed two very successful events in the past and we’re looking forward to an even bigger and better event this year.”
