From the ubiquitous cigarette butt to the chronic beverage container or fast food wrapper, and everything in between—a season’s worth of trash is littering the edges of our highways and byways, as well as parks and public spaces.

GCC Names Dr. Thomas C. Priester Associate Dean of Wyoming County Campus Centers

Batavia, NY- Officials at Genesee Community College announced that Dr. Thomas C. Priester of Lancaster, NY has accepted the position of associate dean of the Wyoming County Campus Centers in Arcade and Warsaw. Dr. Priester has been operating as interim dean since the summer of 2017 when his predecessor retired. He came to GCC in 2012 as an instructor of Transitional Studies and was named director of Transitional Studies in 2015. Prior to GCC, Dr.

Batavia, NY- Regional artist Karen Flack, who is also a longtime adjunct art instructor at Genesee Community College, is making the most of her summer by participating in the Perry Chalk Art Festival as the event’s featured artist on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. She is also displaying her work as part of a solo exhibit at the Arts Council for Wyoming County Member’s Gallery throughout the month of July.

Batavia, NY- GCC at Arcade is excited to announce that the 2017 Fifty Shades of Paints Art Show by Holland Tuesday Painters will be coming to campus from Thursday, March 30, 2017 – Tuesday, April 25, 2017, and the public is invited to attend an opening reception, which is planned for Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. Attendees of the reception will have the opportunity to meet the artists, who will be available for questions, and refreshments will be served.
